Recently we’ve been searching the web for good launchers, and you know what? We came across a decent enough one known as myLauncher. Now, it’s capable of doing a lot of things, but guess what? It’s not the easiest to understand. Yes, this tool is relatively complex, so if you’re new to Launchers on Windows 10, then chances are myLauncher is not the software, to begin with. However, if you’re an advanced user, then take the time out to get onboard.
myLauncher for Windows 10
OK, so here’s the thing you should know about this tool. It’s all about making it easier than usual to launch programs. You’ll need to add the program you want to the launcher, and with a simple command, everything should be up and running. We should point out that myLauncher is essentially a toolbar, which means, it doesn’t pick up a lot of space on your computer’s screen. 1] Add a file
Adding a file is easy, at least from our perspective. Simply click on the plus button, and from there, search for the file you want to add. Whenever you see the folder, open it and then look to the pane on the right for all the executable files that are located inside. The next step, then, is to click on the preferred executable to add the path of the file or program into the box below. Finally, give it a name, hit Add, and then that’s it. As you can see, getting things done is pretty straightforward. But always remember to select the file type before adding or else you’ll run into problems. The options are Programs, Files, Folders, Emails, and URLs. 2] Launch a file
When it comes down to opening the file you’ve recently added, check the toolbar and click on the L button to view the recently added. From there, just locate the file you want to launch and get it done. Now, we came across an issue when after restarting the computer, all added files have been removed. Starting over again can be a chore, but at the same time, we’re not sure if this is a problem only faced by myself so be sure to check. We should also point out that files can be launched by simply typing the previously added file name into the search box, then hit the Enter key. Overall, myLauncher is a decent tool, but bear in mind that it takes some time getting used to. Additionally, it’s not for everyone, and at times we found it easier to just launch programs from the desktop. You can download the myLauncher tool directly from the official website. In truth, myLauncher is better used to launch files rather than programs and URLs, but that’s just our view, and yours might be entirely different.
